Every piece leaves ready to erect

Every piece of the structure is cut, drilled, welded, sandblasted and painted at our own plant, based on engineering's detailing drawings.

Fabricating while the foundation is being built shortens the project timeline considerably. And fabricating under our own control means each piece arrives on site exactly as it was designed.

How a piece is made

From raw profile to painted piece

  • CNC cutting and drilling

    Automated machines cut and drill the profiles and plates to the detailing measurements.

  • Qualified welding

    Every weld type follows a defined procedure, qualified before it enters production.

  • Sandblasting

    The surface is sandblasted clean before painting, which helps the paint adhere.

  • Industrial painting

    The protection system is defined according to the project's environment: indoor, urban area, coastal or industrial.

  • Identification and shipping

    Numbered pieces ship out in the order they'll be erected.

Quality control

What gets checked before a piece ships

  • Weld inspection

    Welds are inspected before the piece leaves the plant.

  • Non-destructive testing

    Tests such as dye penetrant or ultrasound, when the design requires them.

  • Paint thickness

    The coating thickness is measured to confirm the specified protection.

  • Dimensional control

    Piece measurements are checked and recorded.

  • Material certificates

    Quality certificates for the steel and materials used in the project.

Questions about fabrication

What paint does my structure need?

It depends on the project's environment: indoor, urban area, coastal or industrial. The protection system is defined in the design and written into the proposal.

Why sandblast before painting?

Because paint needs a clean surface, free of rust, mill scale or oil, to adhere and protect for longer.

Does fabrication delay the project?

No. Pieces are fabricated while the foundation is being built, so the plant and the site move forward at the same time.

Do I receive the material certificates?

Yes. Quality certificates for the steel and materials are part of the project documentation.
